Short-Term Committees

The PWC short-term committees are more like task forces. They are formed for a specific purpose and duration of time. Each is comprised of a certain number of general members and a certain number of board members.

Grant Committee

This committee is typically formed in October-November. The committee will establish the criteria for the awarding of grants which take place at the December lunch meeting. They will evaluate and rate each application received and determine whether applications are eligible and will determine the dollar amount to be awarded.

PWC Grant Eligibility

All PWC members are eligible to apply for a PWC Grant. The Grant application will be completed and submitted online. Applications will be reviewed by the Grant Committee.

Due to the obstacles that the COVID19 pandemic has presented to each of us, the Grant Committee has revised the grant application. This year, more so than ever, we aim to help our members with their business needs. In the past, the application and qualifications were based on a member’s PWC involvement, however, this year the emphasis is on learning about the member and how their business/workplace has been affected by the pandemic.

The Grant Committee invites you to take a few minutes to view, complete, and submit your application online beginning Tuesday, September 1 through Sunday, November 8.

Grants can be used for:

  • Educational Purposes – workshops, seminars, etc.
  • Marketing & Advertising of your business – signage, marketing materials, etc.
  • Equipment and Technology – hardware, business software, etc.
  • Finance and Accounting – QuickBooks software, etc.

Get more involved with PWCthe more you put in the more you will get out!

Nominating Committee

This committee is typically formed in June. It is the committee’s responsibility to identify potential board members and to present the board with a slate of officers for the coming year. This committee consists of two general members, two board members not interested in holding an officer position, the PWC President, the Chair of the Councils and the Chamber Council Representative.

If you are interested in either of these committees, contact any board member.
